The hotel embraces its history with tasteful memorabilia, but the rooms themselves are well-maintained and equipped with contemporary comforts. My mid-sized room on the 4th floor (easily accessible by elevator) was a comfortable size, with plenty of space to move around, even with luggage. We easily fit four large bags without feeling cramped. The queen-size bed offered a good night's sleep, although those who prefer a firmer mattress might find it a bit soft. I especially appreciated the very modern walk-in shower, a true highlight! While my view overlooked the inner block, it provided a haven of peace and quiet. All the expected amenities of a 4-star hotel were present, including English-speaking TV channels and a safe large enough to hold my 15-inch laptop – complete with a power socket inside! Room service and cleaning were impeccable, deserving a perfect score. The location is also excellent, with a tram stop mere meters from the entrance and an easy 10-15 minute walk to the city center (St. Stephen's Cathedral). While the hotel lacks a pool, gym, or wellness center, it does offer meeting and congress rooms and an on-site restaurant serving breakfast and à la carte options. The breakfast buffet was extensive and satisfying, offering a variety of options comparable to other 4-star hotels I've visited, with a very nice touch – prosecco! While I can't comment on the price relative to other Vienna hotels, I believe the value of Hotel Stefanie lies in its prime location and charming character. If you're searching for a hotel with a sense of history, modern comforts, and a convenient base for exploring Vienna, I highly recommend experiencing the unique charm of Hotel Stefanie.

One of the best hotels I ever stayed in. The bed was one of the comfiest beds I slept on, and the pillows were fantastic as well. The bathroom and the shower were huge, modern and well-functioning. The breakfast buffet had an excellent selection. The air-conditioning in the room was super good which helped as we stayed during the heatwave. Location is really good too, you can be in the centre within 10-15 minutes walking, and there are many public transport options super closeby. The whole place looks like a museum rather than a hotel! You can spend an hour admiring just the reception area and the ground floor. 10/10 would recommend!

It’s situated in a slightly quieter, more peaceful part of the city, only a short walk from the main centre. It’s all kept really well, with a modern bathroom, while still preserving the traditional feel of its history. The rooms also come with plenty of extra amenities, including a shoe shine polish, shower cap, nail file and face flannels. The staff are friendly and genuinely want to do anything they can to help. The breakfast was delicious, with a large spread of cold cheeses, cured meats, breads, pastries, cakes, hot eggs and meat, fruit juices and even champagne. There’s also a cosy cafe/bar with a charismatic barman.

I liked everything about the hotel. I paid for a room, single occupancy. The room was a good size for one person and the bed was a full size which I appreciated. I loved the heated rack in the bathroom for keeping my towel warm. Breakfast was exceptional. I was not expecting a full breakfast and this exceeded my expectations. The lobby is open 24 hours so you can come and go as you like. They keep your key on hand so you don't need to carry that around with you in the city. The hotel was also reasonably close to the city center and it was easy to get around town and also use the train system.

We had an excellent two-day stay at Hotel Stefanie in Vienna! From the warm welcome at check-in to the comfort of our room, everything was just perfect. We were pleasantly surprised that the receptionist spoke Romanian, making us feel right at home from the start. The hotel's interior is beautiful, and the level of cleanliness was outstanding. Breakfast each morning was a delight, with a great selection of quality options. We were also glad we chose to reserve a parking spot—so convenient! This was just what we needed for a relaxing city break to recharge. Highly recommended!
